OK I'll be the first to admit that I had to go look up Albrecht Dürer before I took a second look at your post.

Damn! I wonder what the politics and culture were really like during the Renaissance.

You just can't produce so much beauty and make so many advancements in science, mathematics and engineering without enlightened leaders to support you.

Like Troll, I had no idea some of those pictures were actually drawings/paintings. A very educational MM as, although I knew the name, I had never seen any of his work. Happy MM x

From a song inspired by the cover of the album Monk's Nazi, on which Thelonious Monk appears in a crowded room with a Nazi that he allegedly (not really) shot during WWII, had stuffed, and brought back to the US:

"Listening to the chords that no one else plays / Remembering those halcyon Nuremburg days / Hanging out against the wall near a print by Durer / Offed by Thelonious while fighting for the Fuehrer" (paisan/czar, circa 1986).
