Sunshine All the Time Makes a Desert

Which is fine with me. Because the desert means a plethora of my favorite slithering and slinking things.

Or this one:

And remember, Party People, if you can't eat it, keep it as a pet, or scare the neighbors with it, you can always turn it into a handbag. Or a mighty fine pair of shoes.

Which only take up this much room in the suitcase. Really. I swear.

If there were a superhero called high heeled hottie, or peep toe pussycat,or slingback sex kitten - well, it would definitely be you, no questions asked.

(I tried to think of some clever comment about the wedge, but I got nuthin.)

Glad you had a good time with Ms. Boxer!

Shamu: Mmmmmmmm . . . tastes like chicken. There was excellent game meat at the spa. I thought of you as I wolfed down my entire plate of pan seared elk topped with raspberry chutney and a side of beet/yam mousse.

kmwthay: It's like I always say: take off the heels, turn them around, and you got yourself a nifty weapon!

K9: I have loved all forms of reptiles since I was little. Snakes especially. They do so get a bum rap, but they are one of nature's most beautiful, not to mention useful, critters.

Nice critter pics. Did you see any Gila Monsters? Mountain Goats? Bear? Mormons?

Troll: I've seen cottontails, jackrabbits, snakes, three species of lizards, desert tortoise, and cockroaches. Too low for bear. Mountain lion prevalent, I've heard, but I've never seen one, thank God.

There is something
really
interesting
about
a descendant of Eve,
blogging as
"Bite the Apple"
wearing snakes!

I saw a bunny the last morning, a mule deer (confirmed, btw, by our guide) lizard, squirrels and a dead mouse.

REALLY glad the only snake I saw was on Moi's feet.

OOOOh! It is a far far better thing he does (that snake) than he has ever done before ... in the giving of his life for just such shoes. I doubt they were hiking gear, except hiking to the bar for mimosas.
