That could be sung by the governemnt. They got the pistols so they take the pesos. Never ending cycle of power accumulation till the blood of patriots flows again to refresh the tree of liberty.
Gnome: But we're not gonna let 'em have it. I'm appropriating por la Revolucion.
Heather: I love blasts from the past. Only in my case, it's the B-52s.
MRM: Welcome! And, it looks like you have good taste in music. So I won't have to drag you, kicking and screaming.
K9: S.B. and I were just talking the other day how music was better in the '90s. Gah, we're sounding like our parents. Only our parents didn't have mohawks.
Boxer: It's in pretty constant rotation on my iPod. Glad you like it!
Thanks, Moi. I'd never heard of the Refreshments until I tracked down a long-lost childhood friend about five years ago who, among other things, was a DJ for a guerrilla Internet/FM radio station in Brattleboro, VT (a town I hesitate to mention on this blog), but which the FCC eventually shut down (which I don't hesitate to mention on this blog). I tuned in one night to listen to him, heard a Refreshments song that I loved, ended up calling him and reconnecting. Now the whole family loves both albums, he's living in Asheville (sorta near me) after a lifetime in the Northeast, and Moi posts a Refreshments video. It's an all's-well-that-ends-well story. Now I just have to finish telling you about the Berlin dominatrix. . . .
Czar: Cool story! Speaking of pirate radio, have you read 40 Watts from Nowhere: A Journey into Pirate Radio? Most excellent book.
Undeafeated: Well, it's S.B.'s birthday today, so I'm baking him his favorite, Ice Box Pie. Then we're going out of town, so I won't be able to challenge you. But if I WERE to challenge you, I'd do so with my super duper special pineapple upside down cake, which I will post on Undaunted soon! What are you making?
Fishy: I do cross stitch, needlepoint, and crewel. Mostly old Eastern European and Victorian cabbage rose patterns on large pillows.

Well, hell yeah, now I know who The Refreshments are!
NYD: But does Blanche know? Where is she BTW?
Heck, even I know who the Refreshments are. Way better than the Replacements.

Wow, what a blast from my high school past!
¡Mil gracias chiquitita!
Moi,
This is on my Friday "sit at my desk" playlist. Always preceded by Marty Robbins. Great way to start the day.
i love this song. i didnt know who did it. and, they have a gold top like the big dawg do.
I didn't know who did it either, but it was a great way to start my morning too. That and a perfect cup of coffee.
I may add this to my "jump rope" mix on my Nano-thing.

I'm assuming the Undaunted Baker is still alive. Not so sure they're willing to challenge the Master in a Kentucky Derby Bake-Off.
Moi,
Do you do needlepoint or do you collect the needlepoint of others?
