There Outta Be a Law

Dear Moi,

On behalf of the State of New Mexico Dog Protective Services Department, we have determined that you looking after your neighbor's dogs while they go to work every day is a direct violation of Dumass Rule 371.4 in the State Regulatory Code governing the licensing of doggy day cares.

In other words, if you want to do your neighbor a good turn and help him out, we are going to have to get a cut of the action.

The All Knowing, All Seeing, All Powerful State

Seriously, Party People, we're so silly, I'm beginning to wonder if we don't deserve what we get.

Yea, saw that one.
Government destroying community while community "organizers" run government.

Intrusive isn't an adequate word.

?? WTF is this?

BTW, thought you'd cringe over this.

are you kidding? someone seriously needs slapped.

Oh jeez, then they better go after my family, because that's what we ALL did when I was growing up. Otherwise, my younger brother would have been left home alone when my Mother went back to college when he was 9. Money exchanged? NO. I think someone may have sent cookies as a thank you, and perhaps THAT should have been taxed. pfffffftttttt.

I spit coffee out over your "Dumass Rule 371.4"

I think they should reveal who called in the complaint to the local government. And stop being such dumbasses.

Section 31 B line 7 in the Federal "Stimulus" Bill.

Gnome: No, the adequate word is too inflammatory to type here.

Doris: Read story I linkee at the bottom of my post.

Gnome: Cringing is not good for the facial lines. Stop it.

Kym: Yes, the person who turned the nice mommy in.

Boxer: Of course, you and I both know that when a child really does need the state to intervene, they're nowhere to be found.

Shamu: Yes, and shame the hell out of the Biatch or A-Hole who did so.

Troll: State Dog Nanny Agencies? Never heard of such a thing. You mean, like, dog sitters for our senators?

K9: Isn't that image AWESOME? That's by Colin Self, called "Guard Dog on a Missile Base No. 1." It's in the Tate, I think.

did you know that they are talking about fines for garage and yard sales if you sell an item pre 1985 with possible toxic plastic? endangerment to children will be the excuse for tyranny again and again.

I thought the same thing. Pfffffft. Really nice of Michigan. They must have nothing to do.

An' some folks still doan see we's all serfs of the state?

WOLVERINES!!!! (howl!!)

Aunty Belle said...

Wow, thanky Moi, Think I can weave this idiocy into mah talks!! heh heh!! Makes a Fabulous point, doan it??

K9: It's ALL about the children, don't cha know. Which I find ironic, because when did childhood become some kind of holier-than-thou-end-in-and-of-itself, instead of what it really is: an apprenticeship for adulthood?

Boxer: Must be all that cold. Stunts the brain.

Aunty: And that point is, we're dumbing ourselves so far down, pretty soon we're going to be nothing more than stumpy lil' Weevil people.

I'm obsessed with concussions now. Please ask the Hubster when he had his first, if the first was the worst, and what sort of orders he was given.

I am astounded at how ignorant Urban Meyer seems to be on this. As ignorant as I used to be.

Thing is, if you are nice and neighborly, reciprocate and share. well there just is no control over goodness is there?

moi said...

Heff: Yes.

Troll: He started regularly bonking his head at a very young age, falling out of whatever it is he was climbing. Then on to sports, where the only "rest" period required was to sit out the rest of the game.

Anon: But that's exactly what happened here. This woman's goodness IS being controlled. So while there may be no control over the SPIRIT of kindness, there is certainly control over the implementation thereof.
