Troll: Not something by Wagner, eh?Boxer: Boo to dark and wind! I always liked La Bamba. It gets a lot of radio play around here.lx: Another one of those sit outside and sip on a cocktail in an eyelet summer dress songs.K9: Not sure, but I think they're still around. If I were running for president, "Cannonball" would be my campaign song: "I'll be your whatever you want / the bong in this reggae song . . . "And "Rock the Boat" is a most awesome tune.
Moi:I really like "boys of summer", but you know...I also like "California Gurls...who'd a thunk!!RafaP.S. Theme is up, sure hope you play this week...you always impress!!http://ramblingsfrommytyper.blogspot.com/2012/03/haiku-monday-challenge-senso.html

"Walking in Sunshine" by Katrina & the Waves, pretty much anything by the Beach Boys and/or The Ventures, "Life Is A Rock" by Reunion (CRAAAAAZY memories with this one!)*sigh* .... so many!
In the Summertime (?) by Mungo Jerry. If her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal. If her daddy's poor, just do what you feel.ORSummer in the City - Lovin' Spoonful. Hot town, summer in the city, back of my neck feeling dirty and gritty.Me and my running buddies always had a "song of the summer" back in the day. Might have been a dance club song, or one of the ones that is on the radio everytime you start the car.OOOOh, what about Girls Just Want to Have Fun????
P.S. I remember the Red Rubber Ball song very well.
"Band of Gold," for personal reasons. After that, I'd echo Pam's first two.
Pam: If I think back to all my summers, I could do the same thing. Sounds like a good topic for a mix tape! Cyndi's anthem has pretty much been mine my entire life :o) "Oh daddy, please, we're not the fortunate ones . . . " The hell you say?lx: Oooo, more terrific surf rock! You know, I'm not much of a fan of most Quentin Tarantino movies, but I do have to give him props for the way his films incorporate great early American pop music.Czar: "Summer in the City" is a great song. I had to Google Mungo's "Summertime."
