Happy New Year!

Politics may continue to suck for 2010, but as long as Jack White remains this nimble, at least pop music won't.

Happy New Year Moi,

Well that's one way of bringing it in with a bang.

Jeez, I forget what a complete head banger you are. If anyone saw your well dressed classy person on the street, they'd never be ever to tell! bwahaahahahah.

Happy New Year - mine's starting out with an audit from the IRS.... it can only get better after that, right?

Shamu: Or my feet. That would be worse.

Karl: Come on. Admit it. That's one kick ass song.

Boxer: Blame La Diva. She sent it to me :o). I think we should take this video as a guide as to what to do to your audit agent. BAM!!!

Aunty: Bwahahahaha! Same to you, Aunty!

K9: Potential musica por la revolucion: "Stand up like a man you better learn to shake hands and treat me like your mother."

If this is the soundtrack for the revolution, count me OUT!

What, are these 2 vampires or something? Did Tarantino direct this? This is way over my head. I like the way the sunlight shines through all of the bullet holes.

If I were alone in a room with Jack White, I'd show him a thing or too. Just sayin. :)

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it, I did too and thought instantly of YOU! hee hee! I liked the sun shining through his bullet-ridden body too. And I love that they are walking in a field that looks like the outskirts of a new suburb out in the sticks of....Michigan? Tennessee? The vid was directed by Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast) Good to hear some freakin' poundin' rock again....and LYRICS!

Troll: You sound like my dad :o)

Buzz: It's a commentary on sexual politics. With machine guns. And cool leather jackets. Hey, I'm easily amused.

Kym: I can always count you in my corner :o).

La Diva: If I can't trust the musical savvy of a Detroit Rock City Grrrl, what can I trust? I've been a fan of the Kills for years and the Dead Weather is even better. Thank God there's still room in the rock genre for spare, driving, and dangerous.

Right on. I hate the new breed of wimpy all-sound-the-same "rock" bands. Or worse, bands that sound like bands from the 70's. (Wolfmother, Jets) White's constant re-invention and originality does not disappoint.

Hi Moi!

I hope you are up for judging this week's Leek challenge! Let me know if you are still game. :)

La Diva: While we're at it, let's just smack anyone who sounds like My Chemical Romance or 30 Seconds To Mars. Grrrrrrrrr.

Allison: You betcha. But I'll be out all day Wednesday and won't be able to get around to the blogs until late that afternoon or evening. If that's okey dokey, I'll be there!
