GMTA! Wow! Did you have as much trouble finding photos of Colonel Goldwater in uniform as I did?

Happy Mute Monday!

Au H20!

We need more national leaders with that nice combination of intelligence and a sense of humor . . . regardless of their politics.

Sorry. For Moi's homies across all the ponds: That's Barry Goldwater. Fascinating man. Great politician. Complete patriot in all senses of the word.

That election was 10 years before my time, but I Googled to find out a bit more about Mr. Goldwater.

It's funny that I am, and always have been, a Democrat... but I lean STRONGLY toward many libertarian ideals.

he's a good lookin' man in that picture. when did he go south and turn into the troll he is now?

The Poet Laura-eate said...

I'd settle for Martin Sheen as President though.

He's just the best! And he fights for what he believes in and has even gotten arrested for it - how many politicians can say that?

Well, being 10 years dead will tend to send you a bit South.

Well, you know what they say about the only good politician being a dead politician. But, seriously, the only time I wish one would actually rise from the dead.
