Movie Clip Wednesdays: Favorite Detective Movie

Dear God,

In my next life, please send me back as Faye Dunaway in The Thomas Crowne Affair.

That is all.

Sincerely,
Moi

My sister built a Steve McQueen shrine well before he died. I wonder if any of that stuff is valuable?

I didn't know there were two versions though I'm not surprised. There is this version that I haven't seen. McQueen is ultra-cool. This version is probably well written, well acted and entertaining.

Then there's the version with Rene Russo topless. Advantage version two.

Happy MCW.

I liked the remake too, but there's nothing better than Faye Dunaway and Steve McQueen together. Great pick. Happy MCW!

Troll: Only if she shrined the car from Bullit.

K9: I don't have anything against the remake, either. But the original is more . . . muscular.

MRM: Boobs win out every time, I've learned.

Boxer: I've been a fan of Rene Russo from her modeling days. Stunning woman, but doesn't have that icy, Nordic princess edge that Dunaway had. P. Brosnan of course is hella elegant, but this isn't my favorite movie of his. That would go to The Matador, a highly underrated black comedy.

A very excellent choice. And the Rene Russo character in the re-make with Pierce Brosnan not so bad either! Steve McQueen ... manly in the best possible way.

Good afternoon Moi,

I remember liking this movie, likely because I thought Faye Dunaway was hot in Bonnie and Clyde and I like anything with Steve McQueen in it. I don't really remember much else about the movie, it's been so many years since I've seen it.

I didn't know who Rene Russo was. Now I can tell you if you Google "Rene Russo topless" you will get all sorts of interesting links. I just figured some of your readers might want to know that.

Happy clip day!

Steve Mc Queen. Mmmmm....
Thanks Moi

I've not seen either version of this movie, but Steve Mcqueen was one of the coolest men - ever (next to Heff).

Happy MCW!

Pam: If God doesn't send me back as Faye Dunaway, I'll ask for Rene Russo.

Karl: You Googler, you.

Heff: Longest car chase in the history of the universe but I didn't mind.

Princess: You're welcome. Any day I can spread an "mmmmmmm" is a good day.

Buzz: He managed to be both cool as a cucumber and hot as a tamale. Not easy to do.
