Ambient Sunday

Inspired by Milk River Madman, who reminded me it's a been a long time since I've blown the dust off my Cowboy Junkies CDs, and Czar, who is forever searching for non-invasive background working music. This probably isn't it, but damn, has there ever been a pop music voice as lull-a-bye lush as Margo Timmins's?

slightly reminds me of Bobbie Gentry.

She has nice eyes.

Fantastic song. I should know them better than I do. Might have to go do some downloading or adding to my online playlist.

Always loved the Cowboy Junkies for doing a cover of the alternate version of "Sweet Jane."

PS: See somafm.com for streaming ambient, if you go for that kind of thing. Thirteen hours into it, and no complaints yet.

Aunty: Yes. Sort of Dusty Springfield-ish, too. Only more menacing.

Pam: They don't get enough love as far as I'm concerned. I think you'll like them.

Czar: Awesome site. Boot Liquor and Mission Control are going to keep me busy all day.

"Lull-a-bye lush" is a great way to describe Margo Timmins's voice. Thanks to both you and czar for reminding me how much I love the Cowboy Junkies' version of "Sweet Jane." Speaking of sweet - and I know Moi likes her sweets - some holiday wishes up over at my place. Wishing you a merry, merry.

Yeah, I miss the music of the 90's too. And 80's. However, they are still living happily on my Nano.

Cowboy Junkies are one of my favs and this was really nice to watch. Aunty is right about Bobbie Gentry. Oh! What a great voice.

I love her hair. Good video too.

The nineties were a HORRIBLE decade, at least for "Heavy" music.
