Only One Cook in the Kitchen Por Moi

Do you think my lust for Top Chef Season Five contestant Jeffrey is way too obvious? You know, like picking Ginger over Mary Ann, Pamela Anderson over Meryl Streep?

I can't help it, though. There's something about a blond who surfs and cooks that's just, well, the whole enchilada plus puffy Cheetos. And margaritas on the side.

S.B. thinks he bats for the other team. Just 'cause he pretty? I don't think so. EmmaK prefers the Euro Boys. Sure, the Italian is a charmer in that way only the Italians can manage without making you roll your eyes (Except the other Fabio. The other Fabio is just plain ol' cheesy.) and Stephan has that icy Teutonic simmer, but no. I think I gotta go with the All American boy from Niceville, Florida.

He'd be a shoe-in for Food Network's next food star.
Not so sure about "Top Chef."

Hey...my new name.... Put "To thine..." in front of it and say it.

Feh! He's all yours.

On the male side of the chefs I'm loving the Fabio.

My sources didn't say he was ghey, so he's probably straight. What makes you think he surfs?

If he surfs in FLORIDA, he's lost about 100 points with me. FLORIDA surfers are DORKS!

We had surfers in Va Beach. Silly looking things, trying to ride 1ft swells.
When storms would come in, they'd go "surf" and get taken to sea by the rip-tide.
Evolution works.

Sistah, I'm with ya. He became my fav after the last episode... not sure why. I liked his confidence and ok.... he's super cute.

Ha ha, no I wouldn't have sex with Fabio, his charm is not too genuine, but I think I would definately watch a TV cook show he was on. Stephan is not really fuckable either I just think he does interesting things with cheese and world hot dogs. As for Jeffrey, yes hot to look at but he isn't the whole enchillada because he doesn't seem to have a sense of humor, takes himself WAAAAY too seriously etc. But maybe moi was strictly talking about a roll in the hay with the lad in which case I am right behind you.

i like him better each show. i like it when hes "fussy" as Paco might say. nobody takes themselves as seriously as jaime. what was that bit about "letme take this" when ariane won again - for cooking lamb? stephan is not my favorite by a LONG shot. i dont have a favorite - i like barrio the first show just cus he was a dishwasher who moved up....but after that build it yourself sushi debacle i dunno.

Rare serious post at The Troll Report today needs your input.

Grrherhahahhahaha at Gnome's comment. Both Niceville and Naples are lucky to get 1 foot swells. The only place in Florida with ANY even half-way credible wave heights is around Jax. And the waters there are cold, heavily sharked, and rip-tide prone.

The dorkiest thing about Florida surfers is their habit of trying to mimic Cali "surfer speak" though.

Gnome: You're having way too much fun with this, aren't you?

Shamu: The Fabio is faboo, too. But I got enough Latins in my life for now.

Troll: I dunno. Opening credits? Don't they show him surfing? Or am I just assuming? Regardless. He LOOKS like he surfs.

Gnome: Not often enough, however.

Boxer: See, I knew you'd be with me here. I like the fact that he's all serious, too. AND that he stuck by his guns with the tomato sorbet.

Emma: Hmmm. Now I'm wondering how or if all the super serious could impact his rolling in the hay skills? Someone must know, dang it.

K9: I KNOW! Lamb chop won again? WTF?

Troll: An old friend of mine was a Florida surfing champ. I don't know if that means much. I mean, I was impressed. Then again, anything anyone does in water impresses a desert rat like me.

Doris: And, really, isn't that all that matters in the end?

OOOh, yes, I spotted this guy too, simmering under the radar for the most part on this season. So you drove through Oklahoma?! I didn't see you wave as you drove by!

Now does this mean there will be a new addition to the Princess Room? A kitchenette perhaps?

Aunty Belle said...

HE doan look serious enough...fer cookin', mebbe other pursuits. (Like surfin', ya'll...doan even think Aunty goes to that other place)

Mmmmm,donuts. (wrong blog, I know)

He is very Pamela Anderson.

Pam: Drove the whole length! I tried to wave, but the wind took my hand off!

Shamu: Nyet. I don't care how pretty they are: NO BOYS ALLOWED in the Princess Room!

Aunty: Hee!

WTWA: www.toppotdoughnuts.com/ – hand forged, dude.

Meghan: I know. But without the ridiculously inflated appendages.

I just meant he doesn't look like he'd be that interesting to hang out with ...sorry I misunderstood ..if you just want to just pound him like a piece of veal under a meat cleaver then yes he looks er very malleable!! ;)

Big Shamu said...

Funny Moi, I too have the same rule about my Princess Room. Not for the same reasons I suspect.

Wicked Thistle said...

Oh, so pretty! Boys like this have been key contributors to Wicked's romantic downfall. Cannot...resist...the...pretty...

Moi, the wind is why I wasn't sticking my head out the door for a few days! It was sweeping down the plain!

Emma: Yes! What you said about the meat cleaver thingee!

Shamu: I say: One's Princess Room should not be invaded by either squirrels, boys, or other significant others. Just da dawgs.

Wicked: It's like eating too much chocolate. Seemed like a good idea at the time but then you wake up the next morning with that weird sugar buzz.

Pam: Dang. I thought it could blow in New Mexico. I think Oklahoma's got everyone beat.

ACK! I can't believe I missed this post. I'm not a huge fan of Jeff's (my 'dar isn't going off, so I'm guessing straight), but I loved that his tomato dish went over so well. The look on Stefan's face (editing or no) was freakin' priceless.

Fabio is a local boy. I almost got a chance to cover his restaurant for an advertorial in my paper. That was before Top Chef. Hope his restaurant lasts--so many of them are closing here in Ventura County.

Gee, I always preferred Mary Ann over Ginger.

And Meryl Streep? I saw a few clips from a play she was in back in the '60s, and any day of the week I'd take Meryl Streep over Pamela Anderson -- if you adjust for age. Quite frankly, Pamela Anderson does nothing for me, although if I remember correctly she at least seemed human in Borat.

And I agree with S.B. That cooking guy looks lighter than a souffle, but I've never seen the show.
