Is it wrong to say Venus Williams freaks me out a little bit? The same way female body builders freak me a out a little. Great Mute Monday, Women on a Half Shell.
testosterwoman??? HOwl! But, uh...yeah, it IS freaky to me too.
I'se real ole school--reckon, a lady oughta have a bit of round softness to her--a la Venus on the Half Shell...not quite the Rubens/ Raphael models, but not Venus Williams--eeeek!
Venus Williams is one scary-looking individual -- at least in that picture. People with her kind of talent come in all shapes, sizes, looks, and genders -- and they all by nature must be intense because of the level of excellence they have achieved, but . . . damn. Looking at the picture again, it's some strange combination of ready-to-pounce on her right side, relaxation on the left side, and the thorazine sleepiness in her eyes. It's like those split pictures of Nixon they used to show where the left side of his face was smiling and the right side was twisted with contempt, and then they were put together and you couldn't believe that they came from the same photograph. Or the frontispiece of In Cold Blood where they just showed the eyes from the murderers' mug shots.

Not at all, Big S. I feel the same way. Sort of testostowomen... Great MM, Moi x
V for victory! Very vivacious and vivid visions of "V"
Thanks for not doing Vasectomy.
Great pics. I thought the Venusian Chick was sexy. Williams, not so much.
Happy Mute Monday!
Venus has become a complete stranger and I miss her.
That's the goddess, not Williams.
Shamu: There is something freakish, I think, about all athletes with her kind of talent. A kind of physical idiot-savantness.
Cake: Testostowomen – that's a good one!
NYD: Although, vasectomy would have been the "responsible thing to do." :o)
Troll: No, but just once, I'd love that kind of prowess.
Gnome: Careful. She be sneaky. When you least expect it . . .
Excellent!! Happy MM.
Happy MM....loved your mix of the Venus images. Guess it proves what's beauty to some has no beauty for others! I'm up at the Pond.

So, my question is... do you actually *own* that game?
Boxer: Thanks!
Fishy: Many, many things are in the eye of the beholder. Otherwise, the competition would be way too stiff.
Aunty: I'm always amazed at how those fifties screen goddesses managed to look both zaftig AND healthy.
Czar: Huh. You're right. The more I look at that photo, the odder it becomes.
Bear and Ree: Thanks!
Emma: 'kay. I'll have the People in Charge of the Future get right on that for you.
Chicory: Hey, that's Very saVVy!
Meghan: Oh hell no. I gave up a long time ago trying to understand, much less bridge, the differences between men and women.
