Lost in Technology

So, for my birthday yesterday, my beloved husband, the man who looks askew at all things Macintosh, who never fails to make at least one snarky comment about Apple upon entering my office, put aside all those feelings to bestow upon me my very first iPhone.

If that isn't love, then I don't know what is. Because this thing? It's better than Chanel, better even than Louboutins, because, well, it has an app for both.

And also for Angry Birds, which I'm now totally obsessed with. So much so, that after dinner last night, as I tucked into the latest episode of Red Eye, thinking I'd play while watching, I completely missed my new Fourth Husband, Andy Levy, announce that he's supporting Gary Johnson in the Republitard primaries. Don't get me wrong, I love Andy Levy. But I love Angry Birds better.

Now excuse me while I figure out how to bust through Level 3. But I'll be back tomorrow to announce the topic and prize for the next Haiku Monday, although xl, Aunty, or Troll, can one of you please host because I'll be on da road this weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOI, Cherie!!

Yea to SB fer bein' a coolio hubby an' gettin' what his wife wants, not what hubby wants wife to want. Heh.
( uh..whas' Red Eye? )

I left ya a message of congrats on the Chick9 post, but lemme again say WELL DONE! Must say, Alicia is a perceptive judge.

I suggest our XL or Troll host next Monday. Aunty is still in throes of catch-up chores post-Granny 's death.

On angry birds level three, is that somethin' a 2nd grader can coach ya about? Heh. (nuthin' 'bout yore dexterity, Cherie, jes' that kiddies seem to be wiz-bang on these I-apps.)

I love angry birds. I havent played in a while - i dont use my phone out in the woods - but i have to turn the sound off or V says "not angry birds again!!" I taught his mom to like it. grhehahaha. she has it on her ipad.

Im still on level 3 (3-19) and then i switched over to angry birds rio for a while. Instead of killing pigs, you free captured birds.

congrats on your smart phone. now dont do anything big brother wont approve of.

weeeeeee. I'll send you a list of apps. I switched to Rio too, but last night I seemed to have finished the only two levels available. Chickory, is that right? Boooo.

anyway, Angry Birds is great to play while waiting for the dentist, on the ferry boat, at the vet, etc.

I love my iphone.

now put the phone down and get back to work!

Happy birthday indeed! Kymmie can get through all the levels ... I made it to four before I handed over the device to her and let her go to town with it. I had to give up on the Angry Birds. Did you see the video of Conan doing a life-size Angry Birds skit? Funny! Again, happy b-day to you! And yay for busy. Busy is good.

Aunty: Thanks all the way around, Aunty. And, I'm sure my next door neighbor's five year old could kick my rear on this.

K9: S.B. caught me playing this morning and jokingly said, "That is NOT a toy!" Bwahahahahaha! I do believe the revolution would be much easier if we all had iPhones.

Boxer: It's all your fault. All of it :o)

Pam: No, but I'll Google the Conan skit. Which I can do. On my iPhone. Hope you're busy but not snowed under and not getting the crap weather we've been getting.

What the heck is going on with Red-Eye? Is it cancelled?

I've evaluated Gary Johnson.

I have no idea who XL is. So, I guess I'll host. Let me know what the prize is.

Troll: xl posts at Boxer's and Chickory's a lot. Almost always "first." http://xl-entropy.blogspot.com/ I don't think Red Eye is cancelled. We recorded Monday's show and it was current. I know that Andy was gone for a while, sniff, but is now back. As for your evaluation, consider:

I became a conservative by being around liberals and I became a libertarian by being around conservatives. You realize that there’s something distinctly in common between the two groups, the left and the right; the worst part of each of them is the moralizing. On the left, you have people who want to dictate your behavior under the guise of tolerance. Unless you disagree with them. Then the tolerance goes out the window. Which kind of negates the whole idea of tolerance. That’s the politically correct moralizing. Then when you become a conservative, the other kind of moralizing comes from religion. But if you remove both of those from the equation, what you’re left with is libertarianism. --Greg Gutfeld.

Good afternoon Moi,

Glad you like your new phone, one word of warning. The i-phone tracks in stores, wherever you go and how long you stay there. It's like an onboard tracking system and apparently you can't turn off. There are also police units that are carrying scanners that can read the entire contents off of cell phones just by plugging in. Not suggesting that you would do anything. Yet this could be a major invasion of privacy. The smarter the phone the more incriminating it can be.

@Boxer: what's up?

Boxer: Bwahahahaha! Protecting Kim Kardashian's crap single. BTW, WTF with the pigs with HELMETS?

Karl: I just saw a news report on this. Scary. Which means I'll just double my efforts to say nasty things about the gooberment, watch Asian porn while grocery shopping, and downloading Kim Kardashian music. If you can't fight the power, then at least gross it out.

Hey, Moi! Do you know if there's some trick to posting on the Troll's site? I created a google blog and listed that I'm following him...does he have some kind of security??? Do you know his email address so I can work this out? Thank you! Fleur

OK - are you playing the free version or did you get the full version for .99? regardless, I've beaten them both, and to the obsession of not allowing myself to move levels until I get 3 stars. There are hidden golden eggs in the full version, which will take you to a secret level when you reach the end.

Anyway - so then for .99, you can get Angry Birds Seasons. Holy cow, it's hard. Well, hard to get the three stars. So far, there is Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day and Easter. It will update with the new season once it's been released. It's like a free game every few months. :)

WTWA: So you're saying that basically, your kids can beat my brain.

Fleurdeleo: Nope, no trick that I know of, nor security. Not even word veri. His blog is http://trollstroll.blogspot.com/ and you just post a comment as usual. Unless it's a weird Google thing?

Eggy: And soon, we will be EATING in celebration!

Kym: Word on the street is, you be the Angry Birds expert. Looks like that's true :o) This is the free download. So, wow, I'm behind! And I was wondering about the star system. I've only gotten 3 stars on half the levels (I just finished level 3). So the obsessive competitor in me now thinks I need to go back. Oy.
