My favorite holiday and such a civilized way to honor the dead. I wonder how many other people will recognize the song?! And how he's dead too.

I got the Jim Carroll reference. It's the only song of his that I know. The Mrs has an uncle by the same name...he can't sing though.

Happy Dia de los Muertos!

La Diva: Definitely one of those burn-too-hot-and-bright lives. Still, what an accomplishment for him to make it even to 60.

Buzz: I think it was his only hit. Great song, though.

Good Samhain Moi,

Catchy tune, the lyrics are a bit sad. I didn't realize it was a reference to a song, nor had I heard it before. Thank you LaDiva and Buzz.

Are you going to a Day of the Dead celebration?

K9: She is beautiful. She hangs in my hallway so I see her every day.

Karl: I am out of town this week for work, so no celebrations this year. But I lit my candles last night.

Aunty: Muchas gracias.

Eggy: It was a mellow Halloween, etc. this year. Lots of work, no time. But I look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving :o)
