i love gardenia...but not too much of it. maybe from the next yard?? stargazer lilly? too too much fragrance but so beautiful. yellow roses have the best fragrance of all the colors. have you ever smelled sweet shrub? its a native of the forest and smells kind of spicey sweet. loved these. happy MM!

She: Oh yeah, some of these scents, like tuberose, are so strong, they can make one physically ill. I like that dichotomy between beauty and beast.
I looked up sweet shrub and got Calycanthus floridus, is that correct? I've never smelled it but will be on the lookout when I get back to da South!

It's too soon for the wild roses to bloom here in Kansas, I will have to settle for yours and She's fragrant bouquets.

Of course, now that I look closer and see that was a gardinia...doh.
My parent's back yard has a fence line fronted with gardinia bushes. It'll knock you down when they're all in bloom.
Absolutely gorgemous! gives one hope, eh? I can honestly report that there are none of those sights anywhere near my house...sigh.
you have my absolute favorite lily on there! i have about 10 of them in my garden, I love the way they smell!
