We had a long talk about this recently during an "iPod wars" party at the beach house. Our older nephew is into electronic music and Mr.Boxer couldn't believe he'd never heard T.Bells. I said "please don't" but he did put it on and on and on. the time is ticking away.......
von LX: Obviously, the Germans are comfortable with the sound of Satan Encroaching :o)
Chickory: And baby bunnies.
Boxer: One of the satellite radio stations was playing Halloween-themed music on Wednesday and when I was driving into town, this came on. It tends to get quite monotonous towards the end. Which is good. But those first few strains and some of the stuff in the middle always gives me chills.
Great tune. I've never heard it performed this way. The bass riff is really beautiful. It's unfortunate the movie gave it a scary or negative representation.
Karl: Yes, it's a great piece of music, regardless of its chill—or not—factor.
Czar: And Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene. As for who is who in this piece, I believe Oldfield is guitarist. Looks like they all just came off the golf course to me.
I remember when the Exorcist came out, but was too young to see it so the music was my only reference. And, the Mad Magazine satire. I agree, chilling song.

Good evening Moi,

From the same era, roughly, I think of Martin Mull's "Dueling Tubas," his riff on "Dueling Banjos."
Is Oldfield the heavy-lidded keyboardist or the earnest guitarist who just came off the golf course?
unborn fawns
you ever notice how the soundtrack for "Halloween" tries to match tubular bells in tone and mood?
LOL@ moi to lx

Chickory: Yes, now that you mention it! Cheaters.
