Only 21 days, 18 hours, and some odd seconds until the best-looking man, um, show . . . uh . . . sorry . . . what was I saying? Yeah, that's it: the best show on televisionreturns.
Karl: Twas indeed a fabulous Christmas. Hope yours was, too!
Chickory: Boyd is probably one of the all-time great television villains. But appealing nonetheless. Before you know it, you kind of want to go all Bonnie to his Clyde.
Czar: Dude. Duuuuuuude. Ask the Czarina if she's seen this.
Now I'se reaaaal curious. Can ya guess why? I'se wonderin' how many Flannery quotes might be embedded- her famous villain/ hero in Wise Blood:"Nobody with a good car needs to be justified."
Can I see back episodes on On Demand?
I have no clue who this actor is--yes, I might as well live under a rock (or bridge, but Troll has that spot marked DO NOT TRESPASS)
Aunty: Yes, I think you can find episodes at On Demand. Or rent the DVD. I can send you the first season as well.
Troll: No, I think Timothy Olyphant is the best-looking man on television. I was just echoing Chickory's sentiments about Boyd being the best, most charismatic bad guy.
then LOL at Czar, but if you girls think this is a must, I thought "Check out what all the fuss is about"
I tried--nuthin' at the offical site but teasers. Tried the fastpasstv thang, no episodes will load. Mah cable claims it's comin' to ON DEMAND, but ain't heah yet.
Question: is there a link to an actual season 1 or 2 episode?
Ein Fernseh Glotzer? hahahaha .. well, I just got off the phone with a German auntie. We spoke for an hour all in German or rather Pfälzisch .. It did my heart good. Not familiar with this show. Will check it out. One is never to old to check out attractive men after all .. :-) .. Oh, I'm assuming the show is of course good too. Anyway, hope you had a marvelous Christmas and you've already told me your plans for New Years. Have fun!
Aunty: Just let me know. I'd be happy to pass along.
Foam: Half my German relatives speak Plattdeutsch. That's always fun. My tongue hurts afterward. Oh, yes, the show is good. Chickory can vouch for my opinion as well. And "too old" is dead :o).
auntie i streamed the first season thru amazon. 1.99 an episode - a little less if you buy it all at once. I think you will like it. Its the main way I watch "tv" at chickory - streaming video
no - Boyd isnt the best looking. but he aint bad to look at either in an odd way....he sort of reminds me of jack nicholson.
there arent many shows worth watching - this one was good.
V and I went to the movies for the first time since we saw "no country for old men". We saw "the girl with the dragon tattoo". I loved it. its dark. its good though. Im pretty sure I wont be expatriating myself to sweden.
Chickory: GWTDT was supposed to have been S.B. and my annual Christmas movie before the storm bitch-slapped our plans. So we're going next week. Did you dig Trent Reznor and Karen O's version of "Immigrant Song"? Chilling.
Yes I did. it accompanied at title sequence reminiscent of a maurice binder / james bond opening only it looked like it had been animated by H.R. Giger. black leather ooozing thick black liquids, screaming, glimpses of all kind of wrong. It was gross actually. The entire experience was exactly that -an experience, but not one I ever need to have again.
ahhh sunshine. flowers. little bees on clover. thats where I gotta live.
the contrast of a dark (in every sense of the word) introduction with the stark "land of ice and snow" - the cover was perfection for what it accompanied.
Chickory: You can't live in a place where twilight reigns for six months out of the year and not end up somehow, even in some small way, brain-twisted.
Foam: I haven't seen the Swedish (it didn't hit theaters here), but hear that it was very faithful to the book in both plot and tone. I've read the trilogy and I don't quite see Daniel Craig as Blomkvist (the Swedish actor seems closer to my visual of him) but think that perhaps the American actress makes a better Salander. I'm looking forward to seeing both versions.
oh, wait--I did watch first episode of season one--streamed via Amazon. As of Jan 1 it comes to On Demand in case any of y'all is lookin' to catch up wif' missed episodes of season 1 or 2.
Aunty: T.O. is 44 and greying nicely around the edges. Which in my book reads as totally age appropriate. Okay, so my book's Sci-Fi, but you get my drift.

Good afternoon Moi,
I went to the link in the post. Didn't recognize a single name in the cast. No matter, you enjoy it and that's good enough.
Hope all your plans went well.
Yay! Of course I love TO but this show also has one of my all time southern bad guys. DIe, Winona, DIE
all time favorite
Bullwinkle is coming back?

You think the guy from The Shield is the best looking man in the world?
He does seem to stumble upon good TV shows to be in.

Chickory: Holy smokes! I just watched it on You Tube. Interesting . . .
Christmas power outage foiled plans to see Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
**back on break**
xoxoxo

oh hai boxa
Speaking of the girl with the dragon tattoo.. Santa gifted me with the Swedish version with English subtitles. Very dark but I enjoyed it very much.
Boxer: Hey, what are you doing out and about?
Chickory: You can't live in a place where twilight reigns for six months out of the year and not end up somehow, even in some small way, brain-twisted.

seems thar's several of these nordic murderous authors loose on the pop lists right now.
Yeah--all that snow? sorta a Shining thang.

Tim Oli is cute--awful young, but real cute.

Oh? Well...I did watch episode 1 of season one--reckon the part may have seasoned him some--I'll know soon.
Did ya shovel yore way out the door? make it GWTDT? I ain't seen it yet.
Aunty: All dug out but no time for movies. Boo. Next week!
