It Begins

Seventeen days. One book. Lots of fast food.
I'll come up for air on occasion.

19 days and counting: morning hikes, afternoon workouts, massages, sunshine and then dinner.

Your reward is at the end of the tunnel of work. God Speed.

I hate not having time to cook a proper meal for days on end. Good luck with your deadline girl!

Once you are fully in the project, in your head, time will zoom. Like Boxer and Aunty mentioned, it comes with bennies. Like Chick9 said, it will be brilliant! Godspeed.

Aunty: No offense to Moi, but you might not want to see some of the stuff she writes for a paycheck. Well-crafted and with flair, of course. Dripping with Moi-ness? Unfortunately not.

But imagine getting paid to read Moi's work. That's my happy lot in life.

Good morning Moi,

Don't forget to breath deep when you do.

I would start by taking that big pile of books off of your head. Don't forget to go outside every now and then. Oh, and bathroom breaks go without saying (see what I did there - go without saying).

Boxer: Yes, I work under pressure much better when there's a carrot.

La Diva: Me, neither. I try at least to whip up a quick pasta, or get a yard bird from the deli.

Aunty: I'll send you one :o)

K9: Failing that? "Be serviceable" is my motto.

Fishy: That's one of the things I most enjoy about writing: hitting the "flow." Getting so deep in, I can't even hear the dogs bark.

Czar: Watch my commas, will ya? And those darned dash thingees.

Aunty: I'm not always lucky enough to have Czar as my editor but when I am, I'm a better writer for it.

Karl: Funny that you mention that. I often catch myself holding my breath, which I find curious, but also strangely disturbing.

Pam: Believe me; if you saw my deadline you'd pass out.

Buzz: And I just peed my pants a little, laughing at that.

Heff: I write for a living. Which means I get to tear my hair out to the tune of about 50 cents an hour when all is said and done :o)
