Quazy! A couple of years ago, my 16-year-old went to a Halloween party dressed as Twiggy. I styled her hair like Twiggy's; made her up with thick lashes; she wore one of my vintage shift dresses. She was freakin' adorable!
I posted a pic of Faux Twiggy on my blog. Let me know after you see it and I'll take it down. The kid gave me permission to put it up, but I always feel weird about posting pics of my kids, even though they're adults--or, in her case, almost one.
Is the designer Mary Quant? I remember those 70's fashions too well. Nice one Moi.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mute Monday.
Ahh, the unmistakable style of famous clothing person Mary Quant! Cool old-timey look.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mute Monday!
Ding, ding! You both got it!
ReplyDeleteyou are so cool and I am not. I had no idea who this fabulous person is, but now I do! Great Mute Monday.
ReplyDeleteMary Quant!!! Brilliant idea. Especially if you see my answer on a Thanksgiving meme that I did a few days ago!!!
ReplyDeleteINSPIRED!! Whoo-hoo! An' Mercy, Jean Shrimpton?? AIn't seen her face in a coon's age--the most beautiful face in the world (they said at the time).
ReplyDeleteHappy MM!
I couldn't get this until the very last image. Well Done! Brava!
ReplyDeleteI once again lack the cool to cypher these things out.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that first chick on the mini was pretty hot.
Am I shallow?
Good thing everyone else is brighter then me.....so they could tell me what it was. Doh.
ReplyDeleteBut I adore the pics. All were very cool. :)
happyMonday!
Don't you see Qeira Qnightley in these getups?
ReplyDeleteExcellent!!! Happy Mute Monday.

ReplyDeleteNone of the other kids knew who she was.
A.B.: I'm trying to screw up my courage to chop my hair like that :o).
ReplyDeletePamokc: I saw that! And I understand perfectly.
Aunty: IMHO, probably one of the most beautiful women of all time. I think she and her husband run a hotel somewhere in England now.
nyd: That logo is pretty distinctive isn't it?
Iamnot: No. You're a dude. Just imagine Yvonne Craig in one of these get ups and you'll be fine.
Vixen: I wonder if 40 years from now, someone will blog one of today's designers and think the same thing?
Czar: Again with The Keira? But, okay, YES. There. You happy?
Ree: Thanks!
Wendy: Now, THAT'S cool! Did you take photos?
You would be so ashamed to call me a friend this MM. I had no clue.

ReplyDeleteMod hairstyles all around as I drove my Mini down town... a journey back to my youth.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great MM.
