    All: I would soooooo have a hard time picking one to live in! Some time in each would be cool.

    Pirate: The last two are local – the second to last is by Antoine Predock (who did much of UNM, La Luz condos on the West Side, etc.) and it's on the West Mesa. The very last home is by Eric Spurlock – it's somewhere in the foothills. The weird bubble like house over the lake is by Bart Prince, local boy, who lives in ABQ. This particular house is in Aspen.

    im frank gehry girl, but i appreciate vision in any combination. but then, ive never seen a FLW in real life so who knows?

    you know, predock is in my 'hood? true story - his office is right down the street from me. he likes my old neighborhood as much as I do.

    She: That's 'cause you be the spayshul child, the one with the soaring artistic imagination. And I'm all, Mid Century Modern? I'll take it :o). I think Gehry is a genius, but I have to work at him. Actually, work at standing up straight while looking at his creations – everything of his seems to be falling down in waves.

    Pirate: Oh you lucky, ducky, I know your neighborhood. It's where I'd go if I lived in town. I know all the Prince homes in Albuturkey. I stalk them, planning my eventual ownership :o)

    Raven: He's the greatest, for sure – almost spiritual.

    So interesting that several of you use the word "soothing" to describe these homes. I hadn't thought of it so blatantly, but that's it exactly. Perfect integration of form, function, structure, and site.

    One of the few modern architects I have any time for (aside from our own Brit equivalent Charles Rennie Mackintosh of course!). I do tend to prefer Lloyd-Wright's curvier creations though, finding some a little too severe.
