Ahh lard. I knew I liked you, Moi. My fave cookies are jam thumbprint and old fashioned sugar cookies cut out and decorated with coloured icing. I have a few fond memories of making those when my mum was still alive. My fave part (besides the decorating) was mixing the food colour into the sugar icing and how the "red" looking yellow dye turned out so sunny and bright!
