Holy crap, I'm famous!
I see the image that must be used for the viva la revolucion. And I am very intrigued by the skeletons dressed as nuns. I'm thinking you might have had a horrible Catholic school experience in your yoot' . Happy MM otherwise!

Pam: Catholicism, and Moi, we have a complicated relationship. Actually, she is a La Muerta, drawn by this local artist: www.brandonmaldonado.com (an all time favorite of mine). Muertos art is a New Mexican tradition, via Mexico.
Very eclectic and large collection. Some of them are K9ish, sort of.

I see three artists I'm very happy to know in your ecletic and tres cool mix. La Muerta is also very good and I'm with Pam, I'm intrigued by skeletons (in general.)

Boxer: No body gets out of here alive :o) And, of course, you were so very, very kind to add to my collection yourself.
Buzz: She is a Demented Doll Head Purse, made by a costume designer out of Santa Fe. It's a hoot, taking her out for a night on the town.
I'm down with all of it except the bowl. Too busy for me. But the rest of it? Might have to come visit and whilst on a break from pinenut picking, see if any of it fits in my luggage...

Shamu: The woman who made that bowl is 83 years old. She's been a ceramist her entire life and has the best story about sabotaging the Nazi's who occupied her village in WWII. I did a story on her last year and have several of her pieces. As for pinon, I hear it's going to be a big crop. Get ready!

Wow! That photo stream reminds me of when I lived in Mexico City and would wander the area around Frida Kahlo's house (I can't have spelled that right, sob, but I promise I was there). The whole area looked like that, especially around El dia de los muertos of course...
Moi's favorites .... are part phiosophy depicted, part humor, part emotional, part colorful and childlike, part quieting the spirit, part revving the spitit, part conflict, part solace, part friendship , part imp ..... all Moi!

It is extremely interesting for me to read this blog. Thank author for it. I like such themes and anything connected to this matter. I would like to read a bit more soon.
