my favorite is the pee wee herman version - tequila is the alcohol of economy - always a cherished virtue in my book. its a happy, relatively alert , buzz. great choice. cazadorres is the best. happy MM!
Tequila might have had some part to play on the day I met my husband. Hmmmmmm. Dah dum dah de dum dum dah dah .... will have it in my head all day! happy MM
Troll: One of my most treasured recordings is the Ventures Play Telstar. I've played the heck out of that record.
Boxer: That's a darn shame.
K9: YES! Pee Wee is a genius. I think I've tasted about fifty bazillion tequilas in my life and I keep coming back to Cuervo 1800 AƱejo.
Java: Oh, no! Another bad experience! Like K9, I find it to be one of the "cleanest" liquors around. It doesn't even hang me over. Although, I've been known to hallucinate just a wee bit under its influence.
Aunty: When I was a little girl, I used to drag my parents' portable record player into my room on early Sunday mornings (the rest of my famblee were late sleepers) and dance like crazy to this record.
Bear: I can imagine that!
Vixen: Back at cha.
pamokc: You, too, huh? "We've been together so long. I hope it wasn't just the . . . tequila." :o).
Fun! I love the guitarist on the classic old wooden four legged counter stool doing his leg exercises! Also...great sound and really entertaining Mute Monday :-)
I'm glad I didn't manage to get here yesterday or the mere mention of Tequila would have had me driving the porecelain bus. Happy Mute Monday Moi and I hope you and your loved ones have a fab Christmas.
Those old dudes rocked the two-lead-guitars strategy. I'd try to play it but I'd prolly forget the lyrics.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mute Monday!
I love the ventures and wish I could still love Tequila... long story but it involved 9-1-1, so I try to forget it.
ReplyDeleteThe UofW has adopted this song, so when I hear this I think of Football games.
Happy MM!

ReplyDeleteI can almost see PeeWee dancing across the bar on the toes of his platform shoes...
ReplyDeleteLove the music, but like Boxer, tequila nearly did me in once - can't even deal with the smell anymore! Happy MM, and Happy Holidays!
Why shore'nuff! I danced to this aplenty--but now it'd throw mah back out...heh.
ReplyDeleteHappy MM!
Ah Surf Rock... there was a lot of that on the east coast of Aus when I was a teenager.
ReplyDeleteThis is a classic MM, well done.
HappyMonday!!!

ReplyDeletefor the record, after I "recovered" I had no hang over either. But when 9-1-1 is called you kinda make a deal with your loved ones. No. More. Tequila.
