very nice. the one in the 5th photo looks like penelope cruz doesnt she. i sort of wish you would have labeled them so wed know who but then it wouldnt be mute ...i remember the woman in the corvette from another post too.

Jesse Benton Fremont – daughter to Thomas Hart Benton, wife to explore John C. Fremont. She's the one who actually wrote his reports, the words that sparked America's itch to go west.
Gertrude Bonnin – Sioux short story writer.
Mary Foote – wrote about mining life in the west.
Laura Ingalls Wilder – writer, pit bull owner :o)
Mary Jane Colter – architect of the Grand Canyon and designer of Albuquerque’s famed Alvarado Hotel (now sadly destroyed).
Willa Cather - no explanation needed :o)
Helen Hunt Jackson – passionate advocate for and writer about Native American issues.
Joan Didion – essayist preoccupied with the issues facing her native California.
Gretel Ehrlich – rancher, writer, traveler. Wrote Heart Mountain, about a Wyoming ranch that becomes an internment camp for Japanese during WWII.
Leslie Marmon Silko – probably one of the most famous contemporary Native American writers, she hails from Laguna Pueblo just down the road from ABQ.
Courtney Love – brilliant observations through her music and lyrics on the New West’s greatest contribution to pop culture: fame and the worship thereof.

Hehe thanks! It's probably good that all my $$ is going to all of my friends weddings and babies this summer. If they didn't I swear I'd buy too many shoes.
